Business Development Program

Most of the time you’re working in your business. This program was created for the times where you want to focus on your business, with a partner by your side.

Sometimes business development is a conscious decision to create a more systematic model, set a strategic direction, or grow your team. Other times you’re forced into development by overwhelm. You might find yourself drowning in tasks, hitting hard pain points, or buried in a sea of ideas without action. However you get there, this program is built to support those phases of growth and development. 

Designed For You

We value flexibility. We can support when you need it, with no commitment and no strict agenda. You can schedule single working sessions with your strategic partner or have ongoing support through recurring sessions for as long as it serves you.  

During your working sessions, your strategic partner will focus  on your specific needs and move through the work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, you’ll brainstorm, organize, and implement your big ideas and create stability in your business. 

Your Working Session 

Your strategic partner will hold a balance of flexibility and guidance, working towards something while also holding space for any situations and issues that come up during the process. We may set out with an intention to develop a marketing strategy and then spend one of our sessions sorting through the tasks on your plate to give you more capacity.  We will always ask you what you need, and what’s feeling hard. And then we’ll find a way to work through it, together.

Even though our route may take some detours, we’ll set out with a focus for our working sessions and continue to reevaluate as we go. Our focus will typically be in strategy or operations:

Strategy

Creating a thoughtful approach that will take us in a meaningful direction. 

  • Visionary Chaos: sort through your tasks, prioritize, and figure out the next steps forward.
  • Sales Approach: leverage your strengths, foster connection, and communicate value.
  • Marketing Strategy: create an authentic presence while managing your time and your budget.

Operations

Building sustainable systems and a consistent, professional presence.

  • Systems: streamline, automate, and delegate to minimize urgency in your day-to-day.
  • Client Journey: make a great impression with your clients and make sure they’re taken care of.
  • Growing Team: hire with confidence, onboarding seamlessly and delegate tasks efficiently.

How Does It Work? 

Engage with the business development program when you need it, in the way that you need it.

Single Working Session – $300
One 1-hour session with your strategic partner.

Single sessions are best for the “visionary chaos” scenario and getting quick help to ease big pain points.  

Month of Working Sessions – $1,200 / month
Three 1-hour sessions with your strategic partner + program deliverables.

A month of working sessions is better suited for the times when you’re building a strategy or a system that will be an ongoing source of support. Having recurring sessions will give us space to be thoughtful and thorough about the development process, and create related deliverables together such as SOPs.

From Strategy To Action

The best part of the business development program is the work we do together can be implemented seamlessly. So many resources leave you with great ideas and no action. We’re here through the strategizing and the execution. 

Some of the work we do will be implemented immediately as we go through our working sessions. At times there may be additional implementation that you’d like to hand off to the MOCA team. In those cases, we will generate estimates for MOCA’s support and our strategic partner can guide process.

Your Strategy Partner 

Alright, we should say partners. Jess and Naomi have supported the ins-and-outs of MOCA for years. Now they’re here to support you!

Jess will typically be the one leading the working sessions. Her favorite place to be is face-to-face, generating ideas and asking questions. Jess brings insights and best practices from her own experience building MOCA, as well as the experience of working with hundreds of entrepreneurs over the last decade. Naomi specializes in system structure and organization. You may occasionally see her face on a systems-heavy working session, but she will primarily be supporting your program in the background in collaboration with Jess.
